Chad W. Carter

Chad W. Carter is a 34-year pawnbroker who has spent 31 of those years as owner/operator of Chad’s Pawn Shops. He began his career at the age of 15 working as a clerk in a family owned pawn shop in Texas. He currently owns 5 pawn shops across southwest Louisiana. He has served as president of the Louisiana Pawnbrokers Association since 2012 and has been a board member since 2009. Chad is also the founder of the LA EPIC (Every Pawnbroker Involved and Caring) organization. This foundation encourages employees of Chad’s Pawn Shops to become involved in helping the communities that they serve. Chad currently resides in Moss Bluff, LA with his wife Dana. He is the father of 2 children.
