As a second generation pawn broker, Charlie Solar, Jr. has been in the pawn business in Morgan City all of his life. In recent years, Charlie has been instrumental in helping his family bring the shop into the 21^st century by diversifying the retail business and moving into a larger and more upscale location. Charlie has been in the Louisiana Pawn Brokers Association for over 20 years - 10 years as an active board member and serving the past 4 years as the LPBA Vice President.

Charlie has a strong belief in serving his community. As an avid hunter, Charlie is the president of the Atchafalaya Chapter of the Delta Waterfowl Association, leading the chapter to recognition as a “Top Ten Chapter” in the nation. In his spare time, Charlie is active in the Eagle Club at Central Catholic High School and can often be seen volunteering time at their many school and community events.
