Bio: Duane E Gautreau is the owner of Acadian Pawn Shop Inc. 

Duane E. Gautreau has been the owner of Acadian Pawn Shop Inc. and a pawnbroker in Louisiana for thirty-three years.  He began his career with Big State Pawn for three years.  He opened his own store with his wife Jennifer in 1987 at the age of twenty-three.  Duane joined the Louisiana Pawnbroker Association in 1991, was a member of the LPBA associate board for two years and voted to the board of directors in 1994.  He served as President of the LPBA for two terms and for the past eight years he has been the legislative liaison.  Duane has worked closely with the LPBA board and counsel Mr. Wayne Babovich to create bills that protect the industry of Louisiana Pawnbrokers, not only members of the LPBA, but all pawnbrokers of the state.  Duane still serves on the board of directors of the LPBA and enjoys serving the great state of Louisiana and all of his customers.  He enjoys the annual auction at the Dixie Expo each year joking and laughing with fellow pawnbrokers.  He is especially proud to be the father of a second generation pawnbroker Blake Gautreau.  Serving God and working with both children Blake and Abby and wife Jennifer makes for a blessed life.
